Walter "Jack" Pate, 93, of Kinston, passed away Sunday April 21, 2024 at his home. Jack was born June 2, 1930. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star, as well as the Purple Heart. After Korea, Jack married his sweetheart, Virginia "Jink" Pate, and stayed that way until his death did them part, 70 years. Emma Evelyn Tillman, 88, of Kinston, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
