Bettie Jean (McCoy) Nobles

Bettie McCoy Nobles, 78, of Kinston passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

Bettie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who was loved by all and will be truly missed by many.  She loved to garden and was a fan of the UNC Tarheels.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie James McCoy and Martha Eugenia Wiggins, and husband Wright Nobles, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Phyllis Deats and husband Russell of Wilmington, Cindy Whaley and husband Cliff of Kinston, Beth Savarese and husband John of Alabama, grandchildren, Rusty Deats, Marti Bibb and husband Dylan, Brandon Savarese, Lauren Whaley, great-grandson, Chace Bibb and a very special friend that has been like a daughter, Deborah Corbett.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00pm Friday, March 9, 2018 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Cindy Whaley. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00am at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Ham officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.
