Emily Louise (Gardner) Jones

Emily Louise Gardner Jones, 69, of Deep Run, passed away at UNC Lenoir on Friday, March 16, 2018.

Emily was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She spent many years as manager of the clothing store at Caswell Center. She was faithful member of the Tanglewood Church of God Vision Sunday School Class. She was most proud of her ministry at sanitizing the toddler’s toys every month with her sister. Emily loved her many rescued stray animals but most of all Emily dearly loved her family and close friends and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie H. Gardner, Jr. and Mary Carawan Gardner.

She is survived by her husband Wilson Parson Jones, Jr.; son Joseph Thomas Kroll III and wife Anne; daughter Katrina Marlene Jones and husband Keny; son James Christopher Jones and wife Angie; sister Anne Gardner Harrell and husband Bobby G. Harrell; grandchildren Joshua Benjamin Jones, Savannah Grace Jones, Randall Jeffrey Silliker, Meghan Marie Silliker, Hailey Smith, Jake Carlton, Steven Alan Jones; great-grandchildren Sophia, Keira, Sophie, Alivia; nephews, Chuck Reynolds, David Edward Harrell and numerous special family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Tanglewood Church. Visitation will follow the service. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
