Frances Sutton Obituary

Frances Estelle Sutton, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday September 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed fishing with her husband at South River, working in her yard, and eating every week with their friends, “The Gang”. She was truly the best mother and grandmother, having raised 3 generations of Suttons. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gerald Griffin, her 2 infant children, and her son Malcolm Sutton.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years Frederick Sutton; her grandson Mike Sutton and wife Gwen; granddaughters Debby Sutton, Betsy Parker and husband Stevie, Dana Marshburn and husband Steve; sisters Jean Metts, Sue Haddock, and Gayle Parker; great-grandchildren Matt Elmore, Britni Camp, Dani Sutton, Cammi Mumford, Todd Butler, Tyler Sutton, Kara Marshburn, and Kyndall Marshburn; and great-great grandchildren Brayden and Camber Elmore.

Visitation will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home Friday, September 21, 2018 from 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00am with Allen Ham officiating. Graveside to follow at Westview Cemetery.
