Herbert Lee Moore, Jr., 71, passed away on January 16, 2019 at UNC Chapel Hill. He was a loving husband of 48 years, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Herbert served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert Lee Moore, Sr. and Stella Mae Moore.

Herbert is survived by his wife Mamie Rivenbark Moore of the home, daughters Melanie Moore, Lisa Michelle Howard and husband Robbie, sons Kevin Lee Moore, Edward Randall Moore and wife Renee, grandchildren David Moore, Ashley Moore, Joshua Moore, Hannah Van Vlake, Haylee Van Vlake, Caden Howard and Lily Faith Howard, great-grandchildren Sophia, Chloey, Logan, Layla and Landon and sisters Linda Harrison, Myrtle Moore and Judy Casper and a special canine companion Maggie Mae.

Funeral service will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Brian Rogers officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Military Honors at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
