Ivey Moody, Jr, 66, went to be with our Lord and Savior last night May 7, 2018. He will be missed tremendously by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home and other times at the home. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Howard- Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Mondell officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
Ivey was a Veteran and proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 892, the American Legion Post 43, VFW Post 2771, and the DAV.
Ivey was predeceased by his parents Geneva Dowdy and Ivey Moody Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Judy Moody; his sons Ricky Moody and wife Aimee and David Moody. His daughter Melissa Moody Guzman and husband Samuel. His grandchildren, Josh, Zachary, Ariana, Adam, Ava, Adrian, and Jose. A special little fur baby, Maggie. He is also survived by his two sisters Barbara Edwards and Brenda Heath and husband Bud of Kinston.
Ivey enjoyed camping at White Oak Shores, having big Sunday dinners with all his family, and listening to his favorite music by Gene Watson.
