Jack Franklin Hobbs, 65, of Kinston passed away January 2, 2019 at home after a short battle with cancer. Jack was born in the Bear Creek area of Onslow County to the late Jack and Jessie Vause Hobbs. Jack was a unique character who loved the beach, music, traveling, cars, motorcycles, boats, animals and having a good time. He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved uncle and guardian Sam Vause and sisters Mavis Dunham and Gaynell Canipe.
He is survived by his sisters; Glenda Robertson, Erma Neel and husband Larry, brother; Alton Hobbs and wife Betsy, nieces and nephews Allen Dunham, Holland Raney, Karian Cronin, Lee Canipe, Ric Kordulewski and wife Margot, Seth Hobbs, grandnieces Maci Maness and Jillian Raney and his four-legged faithful companion Dakota.
A private service will be held at Westview Cemetery with Reverend Thomas Meade officiating.
