Kenneth "Buster" Durwood Tyndall

Kenneth “Buster” Durwood Tyndall, 72, of Deep Run passed away January 25, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Durwood and Betsy Reynolds Tyndall and granddaughter, Alicen Forrester Whitfield. He was a loving husband of 54 years, father and grandfather. He enjoyed sports and coaching little league teams. He enjoyed watching his son and grandsons play sports and enjoyed watching his granddaughter in dance performances. Buster was always a competitor on and off the field. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Masonic Lodge # 304, Lenoir County Shrine Club and retired from Dupont after 35 years of service.   

Buster is survived by his wife, Faye Daughety Tyndall of the home; daughter, Lisa Tyndall Whitfield and fiancé Kevin Fisher of Greenville; son, Kenneth “Dynamite” Tyndall and wife Nicki of Deep Run; grandchildren, Grant Tyndall, Garrett Tyndall and Hailee Tyndall Whitfield; sisters, Mary “Minner” Tyndall and Fannie Mae Hunnings and a four legged companion, Bobbie Jo; several nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Robert Clifton Parrish, Jr.

Visitation will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 12:00pm-2:00pm. Memorial service will begin at 2:00pm with Pastor Allen Ham officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Masonic Rites by Bennie Heath.
