It is a blessing to announce that on December 08, 2018, Lorna P. Sasnett, 92, was escorted into the presence of the Lord.
Lorna was born in Cheslyn Hay, England on December 27, 1925. She was a wonderful Christian Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and loved quilting, painting and growing flowers. She was a member of New Testament Baptist Church and played the organ there for many years. Lorna served in the English Woman’s military service for several years and was a secretary at Kinston High School. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was always eager to tell others about him.
Preceding Lorna in death were her husband, Claude “Buck” Sasnett, her parents, Hubert and Elsie Pee, her brothers, Alan and Norris Pee.
Survivors include her; son, Steve Sasnett (Debby) of kinston, daughters, Sandra S. Craft (Johnny) of Grifton, Judy S. Pawluch (Michael) of Ayden, Cheryl S. Fields (Mitch) of Kinston, and Becky S. Holleman (Andy) of Kinston; twelve grandchildren, Ondrea Joyner, Jason Craft, Dannie Jones II, Candi Jones, Jamey McCullen, Stevie Sasnett II, Jared Sasnett, Holly F. Nobles, Blake Fields, Sky Fields, Blair H. Wilson, and Josh Holleman; twenty-four great-grandchildren, Devin Moore, Evan Joyner, Aubrey Craft, Noah, Summer, Savannah, Matthew, and Luke Jones, Makenzie, Madison, Makayla, Jordan, Jade, and Jersey Sasnett, Lakin, Gunner, Journey, Gatlin, and Crockett Nobles, Trajen Fields, Garrett Wilson, Hayden, Marley and Roman Holleman; along with many other family members and special friends.

A celebration of Lorna's life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at New Testament Baptist Church with the Reverend Tim Daniel officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
