Margaret Elizabeth (Pate) Carter

Margaret Pate Carter, 84, of Kinston, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at home. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She loved spending time with family and friends and was loved by many and will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Eliza Garvey Pate, husband, Alton Carter, Sr. and grandson, Alton Carter III, brother, Leslie Pate.

Funeral service will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 7:00p.m. at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with a visitation to follow with Richard Parker officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:00a.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jane Howard and husband Charles, son, Alton Carter, Jr., grandchildren, Terry Hall, Dale Howard and husband Junior and Stacey Snowe and husband Snowe, great-grandchildren, Amber Brown, Kayleigh Snowe, Kendal Snowe, Jeffery Howard and John Rylan Howard, sister, Gladys Sutton, brothers, Leonard Pate and wife Elsie and Thomas Pate.
