Max Rasberry Cobb

Max Rasberry Cobb, 90, of Kinston passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at NC State Veterans Home.  He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Max was a proud member of Southwood Memorial Christian Church. He served our Country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  After his service in the US Navy, he worked with Dupont for many years until he retired.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille “Billie” Koonce Cobb; parents, John and Sudie Cobb; sister, Susie Grey Hooks and brother, John Thomas Cobb Jr.

Max is survived by his sons, Dennis Cobb and wife Leslie, Timothy Cobb and wife Pam and Derrick Cobb and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Dylan Cobb, Jordan Cobb, Bethany Cobb, Rachel Cobb, Hunter Cobb and Hayleigh Cobb; great grandchildren, Gavin Cobb and Kenleigh Cook and special friend, Betty W. Potter.  

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2019 at Southwood Memorial Christian Church with Pastor Andrew Shue officiating. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. and burial will follow with Military Rites at Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. at his home.
