Ruby Rouse Obituary

Ruby Ann Tilghman Rouse, 73, of Kinston passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at UNC Lenoir.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Tillman and Jessie Summerlin Tillman.

Ruby is survived by her husband of 52 years, E. Frank Rouse of the home, sons; Bobby Joe Rouse of Clayton, Lin Rouse and wife Sue of Conway, SC., sister; Emma Tillman of Kinston, many nieces, nephews, special family and friends.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Ruby worked with the Wake County School system for over 21 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed giving the children candy and love.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Vito Bisogno officiating. Interment will follow the service at Westview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church at 2626 Pauls Path Road, Kinston, NC 28504.
