Sybil (Ball) Hill

Sybil Ball Hill, 91, of Dover, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Kitty Askins in Goldsboro.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Lane’s Chapel United Methodist Church on Hwy 55 West in Dover with Rev. David Harrington officiating. Burial and visitation will follow at the church cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray McCullen Hill, son, Billy Hill, parents, Joe and Emmie Ball, three brothers and five sisters.

Sybil was a member of United Methodist Women’s Quilting Team, the Craven Shrinettes, and a member of Lane’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She always had a smiling, caring look that could light up a room. She had a lending hand to anyone in need. She was always loved and will be truly missed.

Survivors include her sons; Robert R. “Bobby” Hill and wife Jacque, Joseph K. “Smokey” Hill and wife Kim, grandchildren; Angela Carter and husband Tillman, Amanda Justice and husband Chris, Ashton Stevenson and husband Kyle, great-grandchildren; Nicholas Nethercutt, Lindsey Justice, Will Justice and Allan Justice, and many other special family members and friends.
