Wesley Carter Obituary

Wesley Landon Carter, 81, of Greenville, went to be with his Heavenly Father surrounded by his loving family and friends, Friday, August 31, 2018 at Harmony Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Wesley enjoyed cruising, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and never met a stranger. He had a heart as big as Texas and always willing to lend a helping hand. Wesley was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Wesley is preceded in death by his parents Judea Carter and Elvie Heath Carter, his first wife Hazel Carter and sister Shirley Jenkins.

Survivors include his wife Faye Brewer Carter, son Wesley R. Carter, Sr. and wife Ginger, daughter Gale Sykes and husband Kenneth, grandchildren Wesley R. Carter, Jr. and wife Amy, Ashley Carter, Brittney Carter, Matthew Sykes and Emily Sykes, great-grandchildren Alexis Carter, Reagan Pike and Noah Pike, brother Sherwood Carter and wife Catherine, sister Geralene Miller and husband Jimmy and brother-in-law Myrl Jarman and wife Sandra who was like a son to him.

Visitation will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 2:00pm with graveside to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
