Obituary
Ann Whaley Phipps, 82, of Kinston, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Quinton Whaley and Virginia Waller Whaley and special grandparents, Garland and Annie Loftin, and uncle, Joe Waller.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Ginger Phipps Joyner and husband, Duane, of LaGrange; son, William Duke Phipps and wife, Tisha, of Kenly; grandchildren, Emily Hawkins and husband, Paul, Megan O’Neal and husband, Ryan, and Daniel Phipps; great-grandchildren, John Robert Hawkins, Benjamin Wyatt Hawkins, and Harrison Ryan O’Neal and Kenan Smith O’Neal due in June; brothers, Joseph D. Whaley, Robert Whaley, Rusty Whaley, and Ronnie Joe Whaley; special uncle, Garland H. Loftin, and many other close family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Bert Potter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
