Beatrice Jones Pike

Beatrice Levinia Jones Pike, 95, of Kinston passed away at her home on Monday, February 10, 2025.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McKinley Pike, parents, Everett and Bertha Elizabeth Jones, sisters, Mary Elizabeth Griffith and Minnie Ruth Jones, brothers, Ralph Everett Jones, Alvin Lee Jones, Jessie Larry Jones and Ivy Louis Jones.

Beatrice was a founding member of People’s Free Will Baptist Church and served as Church Clerk for many years.  She worked at Eckerd’s Drug Store for more than fifteen years and worked with her daughter, Paula’s Vending Service for 23 years. She was a homemaker her entire life caring for her family’s needs and being a faithful member of her church family.

Beatrice is survived by daughters, Evelyn Faye Pike Dover and husband, Harold, Elaine Pike Cook and Paula Pike; sons, Everett “Buster” Pike, Gary Clifton Pike and wife Donyah, Jerry Dail Pike and wife, Sherry and Tommy Ray Pike and wife, Beverly; sixteen grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025, beginning at 6:00 pm at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Pastors Buster Pike and Jerry Pike officiating. Visitation will follow the service.  Graveside service will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11:00 am at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
