Bessie Jean (Waters) Hill

Bessie Jean Waters Hill, 88, of Kinston passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Greendale Forest Nursing Home, Snow Hill, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Clifton Hill, Sr. and parents, Barney Herring and Roselle Tilghman Waters.

Jean retired from Caswell Center where she worked as a teacher’s assistant.  She loved her job and the residents and co-workers she worked with.  

Jean is survived by her daughters, Rose Mary Jones and husband, Louie of Snow Hill, Susie Harrison and husband, Michael of Snow Hill; Heather Sugg of Kinston; sons, Bobby Soles and wife, Debbie of Raleigh, Bruce Soles and wife, Debbie of Kinston, Horace Hill and wife Kelly of Kinston; grandchildren, Chris Soles, Lee Soles, Elizabeth Jordan, Thomas Hill, Emily Hill, Amber Creech, Ken Harrison, Michael Harrison, Angelina Harrison and four great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Howard-Carter Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Westview Cemetery.
