Bette Ann (Lingford) Duff

Bette Ann Lingford Duff, 81, of Kinston, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving Lingford and Evelyn Bolon; husband, Russell Duff; daughter, Connie Dergan; grandsons, Joshua and Anthony; great-grandson, Christopher; sister, Nola Danan; and brothers, Ronnie Lingford and Gene Lingford.

Bette loved all things crafts, including sewing, embroidery, and crochet. She was always willing to help those in need and loved crocheting blankets for rescue animals and veterans at the rest home. She was a member of the knitting club at Westminster United Methodist Church in Kinston. She enjoyed going to flea markets and spending time with her pets, and even taking them camping.

She is survived by her daughters, Becky Derderian and husband, Bobby, of Kinston and Rustina Rozier and husband, Jack, of Thomasville; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Lingford and wife, Joyce, of Chocowinity, and many other close family and friends.

A private service will be held at a later date.
