Billy George Davis

Billy George Davis, age 87, of Kinston passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at his home.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie G. Davis and Janie M. Moody Davis as well as many of his siblings.

Billy worked as an equipment operator for the City of Kinston for twenty-one years.  He loved farming and only Allis Chalmers tractors.  He attended Deep Run First Baptist Church along with his family.  He also loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchild.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Mary E. Davis; son, Billy D. Davis and wife, Rose H. Davis; daughter, Gail Davis Avery and husband, Paul Avery; granddaughter Jessica Wilson and husband, Kacey Wilson; grandson, Wade Davis and wife, Megan Davis; great granddaughter, Brynlee G. Wilson and sister, Alice Davis Spain.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at Deep Run First Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Fishman presiding.  Visitation will follow the service.  Burial will be private.
