Billy Daniel Jones

Billy Daniel Jones, age 86, of Kinston, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Esque Randolph Jones and Doris Dell Jones; first wife, Emma Frances Herring Jones, second wife, Shirley Moore Jones; brothers, Randolph Jones and Preston Jones.

Billy worked as a site attendant for Lenoir County Landfill, where he met many people and enjoyed visiting with them. 

Billy is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Jones and finance, Todd Miller of Kinston; grandchildren, David Ray Stocks, Kyleigh Stocks, Nick Quinn and Amber Quinn all of Kinston; sister, Carolyn Benson and husband, Bobby of Kenansville; sister-in-law, Julia Thompson of Kinston; special friend, Jimmy Sutton and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, November 27, 2023, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 11:00 am at Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will also receive friends at other times at Billy's house.
