Bobby Lee Turner, Sr.

Bobby Lee Turner, Sr., 82, of Kinston, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack Turner, Jr. and Sudie Harper Turner, and great-grandson, Noah Stroud.

Bobby was a loving husband of 63 years and a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He retired from Triple R Electric after over 30 years. He had a deep love for his family and his animals. He enjoyed watching old westerns, especially Gunsmoke. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Burkett Turner, of the home; daughters, Tammy Gay and husband, Burton, and Denise Pratt; son, Bobby Lee Turner, Jr. and girlfriend, Paula Branch; grandchildren, Tiffany Warren and fiancé, David Clayton, Whaley Stroud and wife, Heather, Justin Stroud and wife, Kaitlyn, Matthew Warren, and Bobby Lee Turner III; great-grandchildren, Jade Warren, Lexi Warren, Mia Gaskins, Kaira Warren, Gadson Stroud, Hudson Stroud, Morgan Stroud, and Cayden Turner; sister, Barbara McCallister; brother, William Earl Turner and wife Kim, and many other close family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with memorial service following at 6:00 p.m.
