Carole Perry (Wilkins) King

Carole Perry King, 87, of La Grange, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred King, parents, Claude and Lillie Wilkins; daughter, Sheila Ann Perry; niece, Claudia Faye Smith; sisters, Gail Smith and Claudette Daughety; and brother, Dennis Franklin.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Brinson and husband Anthony of La Grange; son, Gilbert Perry and wife Chrissy of Charlotte; grandson, Brandon Rouse and wife Tonya of Kinston and their children, Noah and Ava; granddaughter, Ashley Corpening and husband Shawn of Mooresville and their children; Mackenzie and Kailum; nieces, Mary Smith and Norma Smith of Kinston; great niece, Jenna Smith Dozier and husband Tripp of Newport; nephews, George Smith, III of Kinston; Zachary Franklin of Goldsboro; Danny Daughety and wife Jenny of Kinston, and their daughter, Lilli.

A private graveside service was held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Smith’s Family Cemetery.
