Cathy Darlene (Morton) Manning

Cathy Darlene Morton Manning, 64, of Deep Run, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at UNC Lenoir Health Care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Earl Manning, and parents, Edward Earl and Genevieve White Morton.

Cathy was a loving wife, mother, and friend to many. She worked as an administrative assistant at Lenoir Community College for many years and was a member of New Testament Baptist Church. She enjoyed decorating cakes and watching cooking shows and the TLC channel on television. She loved traveling and spending time with her family and two dogs, Archer and Finley. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Megan Manning, of the home; sisters, Diane Bland, Brenda Brooks, and Deborah Morton, and many other special family members and friends.

Funeral service will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with visitation following. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Westview Cemetery.
