Cecil James Boyette

Cecil James Boyette, 87, of Kinston died December 29, 2023 at ECU Health in Greenville. He was born June 30, 1936 in Duplin County to the late Grover and Katie Boyette. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Elinor Batchelor Boyette, his children, Tina Hill (Donnie) of Deep Run, Tony Boyette (Jan) of Durham and Angela Gray (Paul) of Atlantic Beach. He was PaPa to seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Helen Heath of Jacksonville. 
He retired from the Lenoir County School System after serving thirty-two years as Custodian at Southwood Elementary and was a founding member of the Southwood Volunteer Fire Department. 
In accordance with his wishes, there will not be a funeral service. He will be buried in a private ceremony at the Batchelor Family Cemetery at a later date.
