Cecil Carroll Jones, Sr.

Cecil Carroll Jones, Sr., 85, of Vanceboro, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Stella Jones, and son, Danny Harris.

Cecil was a loving husband of 46 years and a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed hunting, chewing tobacco, and spending time with his family and friends. He was loved by everyone and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Skiles Jones, of the home; daughters, Brenda Swartz and husband, John, and Shirley Steele and husband, James; sons, Cecil Carroll Jones, Jr. and wife, Courtney, Robert Jones and wife, Ellen, and Rich Harris; grandchildren, Taylor Flowers, Anna Claire Jones, Benji Wilson, Jeffrey Wilson, Sarah Horne, Jessica Schloesser, Thomas Jones, Kate Jones, John Jones, Alexis Harris, and Dalton Harris; great-grandchildren, Walker Wilson, John Isaac Wilson, Fields Wilson, Elizabeth Schloesser, Jake Schloesser, Donnie Harris, and Brooklyn Harris; sister, Mary Alice Teel and husband, Earl, and many other special family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Snow Hill City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at his home.
