Clara (Suggs) Taylor

Clara Suggs Taylor, 87, of Kinston passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, November 19, 2020. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maude Suggs and Harry T. Suggs; sisters, Jewel S. Howell, Dell S. Wiggins, Sybil S. Whitfield; brothers, Harry Lee Suggs and Jesse “Jake” Thomas Suggs.

Clara is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, William B. “Buddy” Taylor of Kinston; daughter, Karen T. Keene and husband, Mark of Kinston; son, William B. “Bill” Taylor II and wife, Christine of Kinston; granddaughters, Taylor Keene Wilson and husband, Caleb Wilson of Mooresville,  Elizabeth Taylor Bowen and husband, Hank Bowen of Greenville; grandson, William Briley Taylor III and wife, Kayla Taylor of Kinston; great-grandchildren, Cora Bowen, Etta Bowen, Easton Taylor and Autumn Taylor; sister-in-law, Thelma Suggs of Jacksonville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at John Green Smith Family Cemetery, Kinston, NC with Pastor Dave Fishman and Pastor Allen Ham officiating. Due to COVID-19, masks are required.
