Denice "Dee" (Ball) Adams

Denice “Dee” Ball Adams, 71, of Kinston, NC left her earthly home on July 11, 2025, surrounded by her family who loved her dearly. She was born on February 26, 1954, to the late Charles Ray Ball and Nora Lee Jones Ball of Lenoir County.

Dee loved her Lord and savior Jesus Christ with all her heart. She put him first in everything that she did.

 If you ever had the opportunity to meet Dee, you immediately loved her. With a huge heart and a kind spirit, she was a friend to many. Dee enjoyed meeting people and making new friends.

Buying antiques and shopping for primitive pieces was a hobby that Dee took delight in. Her home was decorated with old furniture and items that she cherished. Dee also enjoyed blue grass music and played the mandolin for many years.

Other than her family, which she adored, her most prized possession was her dog, “Bossy”.  Dee loved her sweet “Bossy” like none other. They were best friends.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ray Ball and Nora Lee Jones Ball and her beloved dog “Bossy”.

She is survived by the love of her life, Robert Cleveland “Bud” Adams of the home, sister, Janice Ray Ball of Kinston, brothers, Charles Ray Ball, Jr. and wife Barbara of Trenton, and Dennis Dale Ball and wife Marie of Kinston.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Trenton City Cemetery in Trenton, NC at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Eddie Griffin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Center at Greenville Hospital at 524 Moye Blvd., Greenville, NC 27834.
