Edith Ray (Gay) Peace

Edith Ray Gay Peace, 91, of Kinston, NC, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Patrick Gay and Eva Thomas Gay, sisters; Nannie West, Jennie Kivett, Ruth Whaley, brothers; Pete Gay and Thomas Gay.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Peace Fields and husband Stanley of LaGrange, son, Jonathan Everett Peace and wife Alesa of Mt. Pleasant, SC, grandchildren, Reva Williams, Amanda Heath, and Jonathan Peace.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston, with Pastor Allen Ham officiating.
