Edna Reen Fitzgerald, 84, of Kinston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. She was surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family. She was a hardworking woman and an amazing mother whose life centered around caring for those she loved.
She had a joyful spirit and a natural sense of humor, always finding ways to make others smile. She loved creating with her hands, especially making quilts and crafts, and she enjoyed spending quiet moments reading. Above all, she was a true family person who found her greatest happiness in watching her family have fun and grow together.
Known for her heart of gold, she was always ready to help others. If she could not provide something herself, she would go out of her way to find it.
