Emma Gardner Obituary

Emma Velez Gardner born January 1, 1941 was called to her heavenly home on December 7th, 2018. Emma was preceded in death by her son Jason Shaw Gardner. Emma was a member of the hospital auxiliary (Pink Ladies), president for one year, interpreter for the court system and part time instructor at Lenoir Community College.

She is survived by husband Reece Gardner and 2 children, Jessica Nix and husband Bob and Reece Jr. and wife Lisa, as well as her grandchildren, Rachel Gardner Nix, Patrick Robert Nix wife Shea, Davis Reece Nix, Tessa Jean Gardner, Emma Reagan Gardner, step granddaughter Eva, brother in law Rick Gardner and wife Lydia, sisters Gladys Sanchez and husband Daniel, Terry Ortiz and husband Frank and all of the beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 10th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Faith Fellowship Church, Pauls Path Rd at 11:00am Tuesday, December 11th, 2018 with interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Service will be conducted by Dr. Randy Spaugh.
