Girley "Gene" Jackson Parker, Jr.

Girley “Gene” Jackson Parker, Jr., 73, of Kinston, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at UNC Lenoir Health Care after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Girley J. Parker, Sr. and Violet Powell Parker, sisters, Pearl Corrick, Lois Cox, Myrtle Lee Kite, and Fran Ritter, and daughter, Elizabeth Dawn Parker.

Gene is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne Parker, of the home; daughter, Mandy Parker Kittrell, and husband, James, of Kinston; grandson, Steven Kittrell, and sister, Doris Griffin, of Sumter, SC.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Ham officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
