Grace Goodman Rogers Jones

Grace Goodman Rogers Jones, 80, of Kinston passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at UNC Lenoir Health Care surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Goodman and Lossie Bell Pate Goodman, and the father of her children, Jacob Rogers, Sr.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennette Tyndall of Kinston and children, David Tyndall, Jr. and Stephanie Salesberry, Debbie Rogers of Kinston and special friend, Bill Travis, and Susan Sanderson of Kinston and children, Christian Heath and Elijah Heath; sons, Wayne Rogers of Kinston, James Rogers of Pink Hill, and Jackie Rogers and wife, Dawn, of La Grange; grandchildren, James Rogers, Jr., Justin Rogers, Jeremy Rogers, Tina Rogers, Drew Rogers, and Carson Rogers, and eight great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends at the home of Susan Sanderson from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021. A visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie High officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
