Greghory Allen Mayo

Greghory Allen Mayo, 61, of Kinston passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center.  Greg was born in Lenoir County on July 22, 1960, to Walter Marvin Mayo and Virginia Smith Mayo.  Greg was a loving and devoted dad, grandaddy, son, and brother.  He was a very hard-working man that worked at Electrolux for 20 years. 

Greg is preceded in death by his, father, Walter Marvin Mayo.  He is survived by his mother, Virginia Smith Mayo; daughter, Elizabeth Mayo Ormond and husband David, of Kinston; grandchild, Elaina Ormond; sister, Sherry Mayo Carlisle, of Wilmington; nephew, Hyland Carlisle and wife Hanani, of Highland Ranch, Colorado; niece, Hillary Carlisle and fiancé Marc Fichtner, of West Palm Beach, Florida; great niece Hava Carlisle; great nephew Gunnar Carlisle.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, 1608 W. Vernon Avenue, with visitation to follow.

A graveside service will be held 2 pm on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Westview Cemetery Kinston, NC.
