Hazel Mavine (Arnette) Sanderson

Hazel Mavine Arnette Sanderson, 78, of LaGrange, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pam Wetherington, one sister, and four brothers.

Hazel retired from Caswell Center as a seamstress and was a member of Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed yard sales and spending time with her family and friends. She was loved by all and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Roger Sanderson, of the home; daughter, Julie Sanderson and fiancé, Michale Gregson, of Grifton; sons, Todd Smith and fiancé, Daphne, of LaGrange, Sammy Sanderson and wife, Candie, of Kinston, Chris Sanderson and wife, Kim, of Seven Springs and Jamie Sanderson; grandchildren, Rebecca Hinson, Ryan Harper, Matthew Harper, Taylor Sanderson, Kevin Sanderson, Layla Sanderson, Dasia Sanderson, Austin Sanderson, Anna Beth Sanderson, Justin Smith, Daniel Smith, Dean Sanderson, Ashley Jones and Dail Sanderson; great-grandchildren, Ashlie-Marie Ham, Addison Taylor, Colton Taylor, and Addie; brothers, Paul Arnette of Kinston and Doodle Arnette of Grifton, and many other special family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. with funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church on Monday, June 6, 2022. Burial will follow the service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
