Heber Roger Pate

Heber Roger Pate, 97, of Kinston passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. He was a loving daddy, granddaddy, brother, friend, and husband. Heber is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Carl and Frances Peyton Pate; wife, Irene Teachey Pate; son, Michael Roger Pate; daughter, Lou Ann Pate Dudley, and brother, Ernest Carl Pate, Jr.

Heber is survived by his daughters, Estelle Pate Marshburn and husband, Dolphus, of Kinston, and Sandy Pate and husband, Lynwood Quinn, of Kinston; son, Heber Bruce Pate and wife, Theresa, of Creedmoor; son-in-law, Julian Clay Dudley, of Winterville; brother, Robert Pate and wife, Brenda, of Florida; grandchildren, Lori Dudley Smith and husband, Mike, Mandy Dudley, Jeannie Dudley Miller, and husband Ken, Stephen Marshburn and wife, Dana, Chris Marshburn and wife, Melissa, Leslie Pate Matthis and husband, Wrenn, Ron Frazak and wife, Amanda; great-grandchildren, Riley Smith, Brodie Smith, Declan Smith, Julianne Miller, Kara Marshburn, Kyndall Marshburn, Caroline Marshburn, Tim Hyde and wife, Allyson, Peyton Matthis, Haley Matthis, and great-great-granddaughter, Raelyn Hyde.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Allen Ham officiating. The family will receive friends at 2100 Hardee Road in Kinston.
