Henry Cecil Stallings
March 28, 1950 - December 14, 2024
Henry “Cecil” Stallings, age 74, of Deep Run, NC passed away on December 14, 2024. He was born in Lenoir County, NC on March 28, 1950, to the late Lynwood A. Stallings Sr. and Mary Florence Stallings Register. In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by Gerald R. Stallings, William W. Stallings, and Danny K. Stallings.
Cecil was a loving father and Papa. His grandchildren were his eyeballs. He enjoyed going camping in Cherokee. Of course, it had to be a tent, or you were not camping in his opinion. In his younger days he loved Nascar racing. He once went to a live race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. That was an adventure to say the least. In his later years, he enjoyed attending dog shows with his oldest granddaughter. He loved his fur baby Bella and any time he could bring her along with him, he was in! He was a proud United States Army Veteran. He drove tractor trailers for most of his life.
Left to cherish the sweet memories of Cecil are his daughter Holly Lynn Stallings Bautista (Sandro) of Kinston; four grandchildren, Sienna Marie Stallings, Makayla Lynn Stallings, Lluvia Grace Bautista, and Sandro Allen Bautista; four brothers, Tony Stallings, Lynwood Stallings Jr., Kenneth Stallings, and Charles Register (Jessica); six nephews, Danny Stallings, Shane Stallings, Tony Stallings Jr., James Wesley Stallings, Jamie Stallings, and Billy Stallings; seven nieces, Nicky Hill, Jennifer Pittman, Danielle Stallings Waters, Laken Freeman, Gabi Register, Hanna Register, and Magi Register; one grandniece Dannica Waters; one special adopted daughter Amanda Nance (Denver) of Sandy Ridge, NC, and her seven loving children, Mackenzie Nance, Logan Nance, Jesse Ray Nance, Abbigail Nance, Isabell Nance, Austin Nance, and Landon Nance. Cecil also had many other special nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family will receive visitors at his daughter Holly’s home, at 600 Edwards Ave. Kinston, NC. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Howard - Carter Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Howard - Carter Funeral Home, with graveside service to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Cecil would have wanted his family and friends to be comfortable and to come dressed in casual clothes - he never was a fan of “monkey suits.”
