Herbert Nelson Seymour

Herbert Nelson Seymour, 71, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at his home in Kinston. He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Seymour; mother, Mary Williams; sister, Cynthia Hyder; brothers, Alfred Seymour, Allen Howell, and York Seymour; stepmother, Georgia Seymour, and stepfather, Jim Egan.

Herbert is survived by his daughter, Amanda Seymour Sawyer and husband, Tim, of Kinston; son, Christopher Seymour of Kinston; five grandchildren, Grace, Landen, Caden, Sydney, and Easton; sister, Ella Wade of Kinston; brother, Gary Howell and wife, Vicki, of La Grange; stepsister, Janice Howell, along with many other close family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home.
