Jack Wainwright, Jr.

Jack Wainwright, Jr., 78, of Kinston, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Jack Wainwright, Sr., sister, Arleta Relyea, brothers, Joe Wainwright and Bill Wainwright.

He was a loving husband, father, and Pop. He retired from NADEP, Cherry Point as an O & R Foreman. Jack was a man that could do anything he set his mind to: from rebuilding old cars, building homes, to making jewelry, and guitars by hand. A gentle man that was loved by all and will be missed by many.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Helen Sugg Wainwright; daughter, Karen Wainwright Lilly and son-in-law Jim Lilly of Beaufort, grandson, Cameron Yorke Lilly of Raleigh, sisters Amy Hunt and Mildred Hardee, both of Farmville, and brother Freddy Wainwright of Farmville.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Wheat Swamp Christian Church, 3732 Wheat Swamp Road, La Grange, NC 28551
