Jacobyna Yancey (Williams) Jones

 Jacobyna “Jackie” Williamson Jones, 85, of Kinston, NC, passed away at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC on  May 22, 2022.                                      

 She was preceded in death by her parents Ollie Gray and Frederica Williamson and one sister Nell Webb.

 Jackie was a graduate of Elon College and Appalachian State University. She was a lifetime educator and enjoyed going to work each and every day. After 30 plus years of teaching she retired from Southeastern Community College in Whiteville, NC. During her retirement years, she enjoyed a great game of golf, volunteering at the local hospital, playing bridge, attending any social event and reading a good book. 

 Jackie was known as “Momee” to her close family and friends. She was a caring and giving wife, mother, grandmother great grandmother and sister.  She is survived by her husband, Howard A Jones of 63 years, a daughter, Jackie Jones Conway and husband Mark of Kinston NC, granddaughter Mallory Conway Tucker and husband Burch of Greenville, NC, grandson Bec Conway and wife Eliza of Kinston, NC and one sister, Becky Lockemy of Henderson. Momee loved spending time with her two great granddaughters Tilly Tucker and Ollie Tucker of Greenville, NC.

 A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Whiteville, NC on Monday, June 6th, 2022 at 3:00 pm. A visitation will follow the service.
