Sunday meals were special to the family, where a feast of vegetables were served, sometimes accompanied by his homemade wine, jokes, and laughter. J.B.'s sweet wine boasted local grapes and unbelievable taste with word traveling quickly of its excellent taste, and people came from the coast to the mountains to savor. J.B. volunteered at Smith's New Home FWB Church, for Sunday School, Layman's League, and meals. J.B. embodied the parable of the talents in Matthew 25. He was blessed with many God-given talents, and he multiplied them to bless others. J.B. valued his time with his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
