James Lindall Lambert

James “Jimmy” L. Lambert of Kinston went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. He was born to Jesse Hodges Lambert and Cattie Carter Lambert on January 23, 1936. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Helen R. Thompson Lambert of the home; son James E. Lambert (Janet) of LaGrange; Daughter, Renee L. Kennedy (Steven) of Pink Hill, a “bonus” daughter, Michelle M. Golden (Gary) of Deep Run; five grandsons, Ryan Lambert (Sherry), Drew Lambert (Lynnsey), Adam Kennedy (Jacki), Matthew Kennedy (Elenny) and Stevie R. Kennedy. He was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren.

James will be greatly missed by his family and all of his many, many friends. He will be forever remembered for his joke telling and his love of auction sales and also for his kind caring heart.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, December 2, 2024, with the funeral service to follow at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Reverend, Charles Heath officiating.  Interment will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston following the service.

The family would like to thank Itzia Penaloza, NA on the 4th floor at UNC Health Lenoir. Your compassion shown to our loved one will never be forgotten.
