James "Buddy" Marshall Rogers

James “Buddy” Marshall Rogers, 86, of Kinston, left his earthly home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 3, 1938, in Saxapahaw, N.C. to the late James and Gertrude Rogers.

Buddy married the love of his life, Sandra Hughes Rogers, on September 13, 1958.

He was a member of the Local Union 785 for over 50 years. Working as a pipe fitter, he had the opportunity to travel all over the United States.

Committed to his Lord and Savior, Buddy faithfully attended Faith Fellowship and Wheat Swamp Christian Church.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Pat Pattishall.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Hughes Rogers, sons; Gregory M. Rogers of Kinston and Ron D. Rogers (Sharon) of Grantham, and daughter, Jo Lynne Bishop of Kinston, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Pinelawn Memorial Park, in Kinston with Pastor Vito Bisogon and Pastor John Robert Harris officiating. Visitation will be immediately following the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude and Tunnell the Towers.
