James Thurman Obituary

James Dillard Thurman, 72, of Kinston passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at his home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Thurman and sister, Charlene Thurman Peede.

James is survived by his wife, Margie Gray Thurman of the home; daughter, Rebecca Thurman Howell and husband Scott; son, James Arnold Thurman and wife Alison; grandsons, William Robert Thurman and Jeffry Howell; brothers, David Thurman and wife Micki and Glenn Thurman and wife Beth and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2019 at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Truett and Bert Potter officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Southwood Volunteer Fire Department, 1556 NC Hwy 58, Kinston, NC 28504 or Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, 1936 Banks School Road, Kinston, NC 28504.
