James Allen "Jim" Walsh

James Allen “Jim” Walsh, of Kinston, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lori Womble, and father, Charles Walsh.

Jim was a loving husband and father who took pride in his family and loved making memories that lasted him his lifetime. He loved his old 1970 blue F-100 pickup truck that he worked on in his spare time. He enjoyed putting together model cars and watching Clint Eastwood movies.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Viola Walsh, of Kinston; daughter, Amanda Johnson (Christian) of Hollister; sons, Rodney “Buster” Joyner (Sarah) of Wilson, and Joesph “Joe” Walsh of the home; grandchildren, Haileigh, James, Maddie, Summer, Kurtis, and Skylar; long-time friend, Kenneth S. Whitfield, and many other close family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for all of their love and care.
