Janet Marie Williams

Janet Marie Williams, age 76, of LaGrange, NC passed away Monday, May 24, 2021.  She was born to the late James and Alice Sutton Shivar.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Welton “Chief” Williams and daughter, Hilda Williams.

Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Her favorite occupation was “Grandma,” ( Maga ). All that knew her saw a woman of God and her hearts desire for all she knew, to accept Jesus as their personal savior. She was a witness to so many, in so many ways, we cannot begin to list them all. Special beyond measure. 
She had a fierce love for her family and friends. She led by example, to us all, to never take unconditional love for granted. Pray about everything, trust in the Lord, and love one another, would be her final words to us all.

She is survived by her son, Pete Williams; daughter, June Williams Brown and husband, Rod; grandchildren, Trey Williams and wife, Liz, Kaytlyn Williams, Dyllan Brown, Logan Brown, and Landon Brown; great-grandchildren, Caroline Williams and Emmett John “Charlie Brown” Williams; brothers, Cecil Sutton and wife, Paulette, and Linwood Shivar and wife, Shirley, and many other special nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
