Jo Ann (Styron) Steelman

Jo Ann Styron Steelman, 79, of Holly Springs, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at UNC Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC.  She was predeceased by her parents, Charlie Hill Styron and Margie Jones Styron, and sister Marie Burkette.

Jo Ann worked as an administrative assistant for the NC Department of Transportation.  She enjoyed her trips out west to visit the national parks as well as her annual trip to the beach.

Jo Ann was married to her surviving husband Harold Steelman for 59 years.  Her other survivors include her son, Michael Steelman and wife, Yang of Raleigh, NC; niece, Cindy Burkette of Grifton, NC and nephew, Donny Burkette and wife, Adina of Fremont, NC.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 beginning at 11:00 am at Westview Cemetery, Kinston, NC.
