John Julian Aldridge, Jr.

John Julian Aldridge, Jr., 83, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at his home in Kinston. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Julian Aldridge, Sr. and Frances Wilkins Aldridge; loving daughter, Beth Aldridge Oliver; and brothers, Earl Aldridge, L.D. Aldridge, and Allen Aldridge.

John loved his country and served in the Army National Guard for 27 years, retiring at the rank of First Sergeant. He also worked at Caswell Center for 30 years before enjoying his retirement. 

He is survived by his wife, Marlene F. Aldridge, of the home; son, John Julian Aldridge III and wife, Jenny, of Garner; grandchildren, Robert Oliver of Greenville, Melissa Steele and husband, Scott, of Buford, GA, and John J. Aldridge IV and wife, Bethany, of Asheville; and great-grandchild, Abigail Beth Steele.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Allen Ham officiating.
