Joseph Robert Baron, Sr. 69, of Deep Run, North Carolina, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020, at Coastal Carolina Medical Center surround by his family. Joseph was born on June 27, 1950, to the late Joseph and Dorothy Baron in Rhode Island, before joining the United States Marine Corp and being stationed at Camp Lejeune.
He was a member of Gray Branch FWB Church in Deep Run until his last several years but was always able to count on the members and the pastor to be there for him, his wife, and family.
Some of Joe’s favorite things where three musketeer bars and a coke with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and everything in between. It’s easy to say one of his most favorite things was spending time with all of his grandkids, from the oldest to the youngest, they all meant just as much to him as the next. He also loved having his kids around and it was even better when the kids and grandkids were all around. Joe was also very proud of his time in the Marine Corp and how he met his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Andrea Baron; his children, Wendy Simmons and husband Steve, Shelia Wolf and husband Wayne and Joseph Jr. and fiancé Leanna; his grandkids, Hannah Wilkinson and husband Mark, Bailey Simmons, Mikey Baron, Shane Baron, Taylor Wolf, Nathan Baron, Jada Baron, Noel Simmons, Christian Stone, Marissa Baron, Gracie-Mae Baron. He also leaves behind many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Napoleon, wife Dorothy and grandson Samuel Joseph Wolf.
A funeral service with visitation following will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 6 pm, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 21, 2020 at 12 noon at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro. The family will also continue to receive friends and family at the home of Patricia Lupton,
