Joseph Winfield Jarman

Joseph Winfield Jarman, 90, of Kinston, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Signature Healthcare. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jean Deal Jarman; parents, Joseph Nixon Jarman and Estelle Lanier Jarman; sisters, Sally Blackmon and Eleanor Barwick, and brother, John Jarman.

Winfield was a life-long member of Tanglewood Church of God. He enjoyed eating out and spending time with his Bojangles Breakfast Buddies. He loved spending time in his yard and had a loving passion for Buicks. After retiring from Caswell Center, he worked for Johnny Moore Auto Sales in Kinston for 27 years.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Jarman, of the home; sons, Chet Jarman and wife, Robin, of Greenville, and David Wiggins and wife, Beth, of La Grange; grandchildren, Brandon Jarman, Lauren Jarman, D.J. Wiggins II, and Thomas Wiggins; sisters, Evelyn Hannah, Iris Gray, and Faye Crumpton; brothers, Tom Jarman, Pastor Wesley Jarman, Nick Jarman, and Harry Jarman; special Brother-in-law, Leon Deal; special friend, Johnny Moore, and special canine companion, Bella.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Lawrence R. Taylor officiating.
