Joseph Curtis Waller, 94, of Kinston went to be with the Lord Monday, February 5, 2018.
He was a great daddy, granddaddy and Papa Joes.
He served in the army during World War II where he was stationed in Philippines, Japan and Oquawka.
He married in 1950 to Mabel Howard Waller. He worked as a carpenter, raised cows, chickens, pigs but farmed most of his life. He loved hanging out at Jr’s store and loved fishing and hunting. He was a member of Smith New Home Church but attended Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness with his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mabel Howard Waller, his father Edgar Clarence Waller, mother Annie Lofton, brother Haywood Waller, E.C. Waller, sister Virginia Gautier and Sandra Andrews.
He is survived by one son Joe Waller, Jr. and wife Mary; a daughter, Judy W. Eubanks and her husband Ori; five grandchildren Tracy Waller Harrell and her husband Chris of Fountain, Travis Waller of Macclesfield, Christopher Waller of Georgia, Wendy Eubanks Rogers and husband Brian of Ayden, Andy Eubanks and wife Mindy of Kinston; six great-grandchildren, Avery Dawson, Addison Eubanks, Asher Eubanks, London Rogers, Laytham Rogers and Brynleigh Waller.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Brian Rogers officiating. Visitation to follow and other times at the home of Judy Eubanks, 2426 Lightwood Knot Road, Kinston, NC 28504.
